Florida georgia line break up1/31/2024 The first sign we got that a split wouldn’t be in the cards is when Billboard randomly published a story on November 16th that the duo had signed a “Multi-year touring deal with Live Nation.” Oh, so it’s just a complete coincidence that while breakup rumors were swirling, a story about Florida Georgia Line touring for years to come emerges while the rest of the world is wrestling with a pandemic and touring is the last thing on anyone’s mind. Well unfortunately-or fortunately, if you consider a split might mean two knuckleheads to contend with instead of one duo-a breakup didn’t materialize. This ruffled the feathers of Tyler Hubbard (the funny-looking one), and Hubbard and his wifey deleted Brian Kelley and his wifey off of Instagram, and the sewing circle hen fest of country music gossip ensued. Brian Kelley (the one that doesn’t do anything), had posted some dumb conspiracy theory stuff on Instagram about people celebrating Joe Biden’s win for the American Presidency, and how now that Biden had won, they would open back up the economy (Update: they haven’t). It was just a bit under two weeks ago when breakup rumors surrounding the Bro-Country duo Florida Georgia Line were all the rage of the country music internet. Hubbard’s debut solo album, Dancin’ in the Country, dropped in August. I think we’re both two unique individuals. I don’t know when that’s coming out, but I can’t wait to hear that and see what it does. “I think this is the next natural step,” the “Real Good Day” crooner told CMT at the time. Speculation continued in June 2021 when Kelley released his first solo album, Sunshine State of Mind. “And so the truth is, and I think this is important to talk about, me and BK have done the work.” Justin Theroux, Channing Tatum and More Stars Who Own Bars “It’s not all sugar-coated,” Hubbard explained. The “5 Foot 9” singer later re-followed Kelley, but the duo admitted in a joint interview that there had been “hard times” between them in the past. Rumors of a split first surfaced in 2020 when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Hubbard unfollowed his bandmate on social media. “At the end of the day, we’re brothers, so we’ll always have each other’s back and support, and that’s what it should be.” “It’s not clear to me,” the Florida native told radio station 99.5 QYK in May. Kelley, for his part, later said he didn’t know “what the plan” would be following the end of their summer tour.įlorida Georgia Line perform at the Country Thunder Music Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin on July 24th, 2022. The country duo then led the audience in one last chorus of their hit song “H.O.L.Y.” before closing out the show with “Cruise.” When the song was over, the pair shared a hug before exiting on opposite sides of the stage.Įarlier this year, Hubbard confirmed that the pair are taking a break, but he stopped short of calling the hiatus a full-on breakup.
